9 Weeks (4/1/2015)

I’m not sure if I will write up a weekly ‘report’ every week, but it is my goal. I figure I can write it at work while on break and then email it to myself to post. The problem is I don’t get online once I am home usually. AND my computer is awful and for some reason won’t save any of the pictures from my camera. It’s forcing me to keep my old computer to store my pictures, but that computer takes HOURS to save and edit the pictures I want to keep. Not worth the hassle. I might start using Matt’s computer….

How far along: 9 weeks

Fruit-size comparison: A green olive

Developmental milestones: Per the baby books, Baby Bean has arms and legs!

Maternity clothes: Not yet, but on some of my work pants, I do have to use a hair tie to keep them closed. I am on the hunt for some maternity pants. Why are they all so expensive?

Weight gain: As shocking as this sounds, considering the mass quantity of food I eat these days, I have lost 2 pounds! I weighed myself this morning.

Stretch Marks: Nothing I didn’t already have.

Sleep: I tend to go to bed around 7 or 8 PM whereas I used to go to bed around 10 or 11 PM. I literally cannot stay up any later… I feel like I am at the end of my rope like I have been up for 24 hours straight. Throughout the night, I wake to pee about 4 or 5 times. I am usually able to fall right back to sleep thankfully.

Best moment of the week: On Week 8, Day 1 we got our second picture of our baby… I was happy to see the heart still beating. (Not that I was expecting it not to be beating.)

Movement: None yet – can’t wait!

Cravings: Sweets… and anything else I can get my hands on. Seems to mostly be unhealthy foods. I literally eat all day. If I don't eat, I feel ill.

Gender: A girl… or a boy! Obviously. J

Belly button in or out: In

Wedding ring: Loosely on.

Anything making you queasy/sick: Everything! I am sick all morning until lunchtime and then it starts all over again around 6 PM (sometimes earlier). When does this end? My doctor claims it peaks at 10 weeks and when I asked when will it end, she never gave me a very straight answer. Thankfully, today is the first day I have puked. Usually I just feel extremely nauseous.

What I miss: Not being sick. I want to be a happy pregnant lady!

What I’m looking forward to: Everything! (All the good stuff anyways.)

Labor signs: WAY too early to be having these.

Symptoms: Morning sickness and fatigue.

Nursery: Haven’t started unless you count my compulsion of buying stuffed giraffes over the last few years. I do have color ideas rolling around in my head for once we know the sex of the baby.

Emotions: Excitement, but at the same time, sometimes it doesn’t feel real yet.
Yesterday, I puked on the van on my way home from work. :(

(I take a vanpool into work almost every day and usually have no issues.)
Thankfully, I was in the last row of seats, by myself, and I had a jacket in my lap. I was able to puke into it without anyone hearing or seeing it. At least I don’t think anyone noticed… no one said anything to me.
