Stop Being Wasteful

Hope you have a wonderful birthday!

Was it really just two days ago when I threw out the TWO current Louisville phonebooks I had in my house?

I must be wrong!

I know I did not just see ANOTHER phonebook next to my door when I took Wyatt out.

Surely this is not a picture I took with my camera of my front door.
There must be some sort of mistake.

My county cannot possibly also have there own phonebook!

No way would the state waste THAT MUCH money!

Can you imagine?

What is this world coming to?

I realize where I used to live is not as big as here, but we only had ONE phonebook!

Who on Earth needs THREE for the SAME area???

Hello people!!!
That is what and is for!

Okay, I am done talking about the phonebook issue here in Louisville… I’m sure no one but me truly cares about all the wasted paper and ink now in landfills…
Today at work I had 2 inspections in my areas and luckily, they both went exceptionally well. I was especially worried about the second one since I am still new to the area and it is a highly secure area. I was afraid I would forget something. My third area – I was not there for that inspection since it happened during my second inspection – it didn’t do so well. But honestly, I felt it did great! One person can only do so much on their own. Thankfully my lead did the inspection and defended the area – even the inspector told me he feels we all wear too many hats.
That is the understatement of the year!

I came home to a very peaceful evening of TV and a book. Only the best for me!
Perhaps I should go out and get a life…. NAH!!!
Actually, I do want to find a park to take Wyatt to, but that will have to be once it fully warms up. We keep going cold to warm, cold to warm. I wish the weather would make up its mind!

Depleting Stockpile

I need to start stockpiling again for sure. As if being on my last bottle of shampoo wasn’t bad enough; I am now on my last roll or paper towels!

Oh the horror!

I haven’t even been clipping out paper towel coupons!

What will I use to cover my bacon in the microwave with if I run out?

I don’t have a washer and dryer so it is more convenient and sanitary for me to use paper towels even though they are a waste of money.
I need to drive to my mom’s for the next Harris Teeter Triple coupon days. I miss those! I used to always stock up on some good non drugstore items. (That’s how I have a lifetime of dish soap.)
What will I be running out of next?

Hopefully nothing if I can start stocking up on all my items again.

I thought about going out and buying more shampoo from Walgreen’s (got 4 yesterday), but I decided I just wanted to sit around the house doing nothing. Besides, I miss the warm weather – I really don’t feel like going out in the cold right now. I thought this was suppose to be springtime? At least it is staying lighter outside longer so Wyatt and I are able to enjoy the blinds being open.
I need to get an oil change this week… found me a $7 off coupon for Midas in my phone book!
I decided to flip through the coupons before I threw it out. No need to have a phonebook taking up space when I can look up any phone number online… seems kind of pointless that they pass them out to everyone. They should save money and have people order them if they want one. Because seriously, I bet half the people who get them throw them away within the first few days of receiving them. Here in Louisville, we get 2 HUGH phonebooks!
I think I am going to take a bubble bath and read some more of my book. Sounds like a great way to relax for the next hour. Maybe after that I will put on my Reba Season 7 DVD that Matt bought me for Valentine’s Day that I still have not watched.

Who Would Have Guessed…

That I would fill up my 4 gig IPOD?

Took me 3 or 4 years to do it…

Never thought I would actually fill it up though. In my defense, it is suppose to hold 1000 songs, but I only have 929 on there and it says it is full. How can that be? I only have songs on it – only title and artist – nothing else.

Apple lied!

False advertisement!

I know what I want for my next birthday!

I want a new IPOD with a HUGH amount of space on it. I am mad I have to pick and choose now what I want on my IPOD. That will take so much time! I fear I will lose some of my music by doing this. :(

I am going to keep my eyes open on craigslist to see if I can find a bargain.

Frizz Control

Since I have not been stockpiling items like I had in the past (everyone complained about how much stuff I had when I moved), I opened my last bottle of shampoo the other day and knew I needed to buy some more - I still have three bottles of conditioner left.

Thankfully, Walgreen’s came to the rescue.
This week starting today you can buy a bottle of Dove shampoo or conditioner for $4.00 and you will get back $4.00 in Register Rewards which makes the bottle FREE!
I have already done it twice – I bought one and Matt bought one this morning. I plan on getting two more today when I go out since I will be stopping at 2 Walgreen’s. Might as well start building my hair care items back up.

Another good deal right now is at Target. Click HERE for Target coupons - one coupon is for $1.50 off any pillow. You can buy a standard pillow for $3.00 – after coupons makes them $1.50 each. Not bad for a decorative pillow.

Day of Freebies

Before Matt and I play the new board games we bought I wanted to post the deals I got today. I wish I had done this yesterday so you could have done this same deal. If you act fast, you still can I suppose.

I bought 18 (Yes, I said 18!) total boxes of Ronzoni noodles. Through today, at Kroger buy any 8 participating items and get $4.00 off your purchase. That makes the noodles $0.75 each after having the discount applied to the purchase. Click on any off these: HERE1, HERE2, or HERE3 and print 2 coupons from each site for $0.75 off each box of noodles making these completely FREE!

Whoo hoo!

Thankfully, Matt is here this weekend and brought both of his computers so I was able to have 18 coupons.

Awesome deal!

Excited me!

Made my day!
At Target through today, the board game Connect 4 is on sale for $7.00 each. Click HERE for a $4.00 off coupon and HERE for a $3.00 off Target coupon. You can use both of these coupons combined making these FREE. I bought 4 total. Should have bought more, but was unable to print anymore coupons. I am keeping one for myself and will donate the other 3 at Christmas time.

Spring Cleaning

I feel all accomplished now!

I dusted all the solid surfaces in my home….
I vacuumed and Swiffered the floors….
I FULLY cleaned my bathroom….
And I washed all the dishes (I just need to put them away – later though).

Not bad, huh?

Today was the first day I have came home and not been smothered by cigarette smoke smells.
Whooo hoo!!!
The people below me moved out on Saturday evening and I have noticed they are now painting the apartment. I have all the windows open right now and the fan on the unit running to help air out the place. I think it is working. Wont be long now until my apartment is smoke free.
It’s about time!
Sorry to all of you who know me well and has had to tolerate all my complaints about the smells. I will stop. I promise. It is just so nice to not have to deal with it anymore.

So now I am watching the DVD Twilight in Forks.
Thankfully it was free after coupons because it is so boring. I am going to try to sell it online. It is not worth watching. I plan on turning it off once I am done being online. If you have seen it, didn’t you think it was lame? I swear Summit Entertainment is just trying to take advantage of all us obsessed Twilight fans!

While walking Wyatt earlier I met the grandmother of the guy who lives across the hall from me. She asked me if I knew her Matty… she said that is what she calls him. Very sweet lady. Told me to tell him she stopped by if I see him before she does.
And yes, I did tell her I didn’t know him when she asked me if I had seen him. I have honestly only seen him a handful of times… I’m not even sure what he looks like. In fact, I thought the girl I sometimes see is who lived there. Shows how little I know about my neighbor.

Today has been rainy and kinda dreary. But look at this beautiful tree!

The flowers on the tree are beginning to bloom!

I love the signs of Spring!

P.S. All pictures taken from now on will be from my old camera. The one Matt bought me for Christmas is completely ruined.

Goodbye Pepé Le Pew

I went into work early this morning - it was still dark when I got there.
As I was walking to the backdoor something moved next to me. I slowly looked to my right assuming it was someone walking by me. Instead, it was a skunk walking away from me!
Thank god he did not spray me!
I would have cried and gone home for the day. It would have turned today into an awful day. It is so weird this encounter happened to me - yesterday I had read on Kelly's Korner (blog) how her and her daughter walked by a skunk. Must be the time of the year for them. Maybe????
Wyatt got spayed be a skunk once. I still feel bad about what happened and it was YEARS ago. I had let Wyatt out the front door at night to go pee and he would not leave the front steps. (This was normal for him at the time when he didn't want to go in the grass.) I said "Wyatt! Go in the grass!" He sure didn't want to - he just stood there. Eventually, after I had yelled at him a few times he went in the grass and went pee. This is when the poor guy got sprayed! My poor baby! My mom was at work so my brother and I called her to find out what to do. It scared us all. My mom even called the vet after hours. After a good tomato bath, he smelled a lot better - but still kinda stinky!

Ahhhh…. New Moon

Please ignore the post below this one. I would delete, but I have decided I will keep it so I can look back on it and remember my initial reaction.

I will stop talking about the Twilight series’ movie New Moon until Eclipse comes to theater after I clear one thing up. (June 30 by the way!)
I watched New Moon a second time over the weekend…. when I was no longer tired and possibly grumpy.
Although I still love the first one the best, New Moon has grown on me and I love it as well. So glad I bought it. :)
I cannot wait to see the next movie in theater!
Honestly, I don’t remember the last time (if ever) when I was obsessed with something. I don’t think I loved N*SYNC and the Backstreet Boys as much as I love the Twilight series books (ESPECIALLY!!!) and the movies!
I feel like a teenager!
Gosh…. Imagine that!?!?!?!

By the way mom – I cannot wait to watch these with you. Not sure if you will like them. Maybe you should read the books first. I have bought a few of them at this point. You can borrow them when you have time to read them.

Okay, no more New Moon blogs for awhile….
Today after work I went to Wal-Mart and Target to buy a few things which was fun and gave me something to do to get out of the house. I was getting restless! Wyatt enjoyed the car ride – it was a nice and sunny day! Got up to 65 degrees.
I bought dinner from Chick-fil-a since I had a coupon for a free 3-piece chicken strip (from my calendar I got free for buying a $20 gift card back in December – each coupon has to be used during the month it is on). I was even good and bought a large fruit bowl instead of fries. Good thing Wyatt loves apples because that is mostly what it consisted of. For $3.19 plus tax it should have had a few more strawberry pieces and grapes. At least it was less fattening then the fries I could have ate. Plus, I have been craving some fruit. I have overpriced grapes and good priced strawberries in my fridge. I just need to wash and prepare them for lunch.
I ate the fruit cup first which filled me up so I still have one and a half chicken tenders to bring for lunch tomorrow along with my grapes and strawberries.

Oh, something worth mentioning.... if you have kids to buy presents for or want to stock up for Christmas giveaways or anything like that, CLICK HERE for a ton of toy and game coupons!
The best 2, in my opinion, are $5.00 off Monopoly which is currently on sale at Target for $7.00 making it $2.00 and $4.00 off Connect 4 currently priced at $7.00 - Plus use the $3.00 off coupon online to make this game FREE!!!!!
I think I will get a few games for Toys for Tots or something else going on at Christmas! Might as well stock up now while they are cheap!

New Moon

I have been anticipating the release of New Moon (Follow-up to the movie Twilight) ever since I fell in love with the books – about 3 weeks or so ago. I was so excited about it… I watched Twilight once again tonight and even went to Wal-Mart at midnight to buy it!

*** SIDE NOTE ***
Wal-Mart was crazy!
I knew it would be busy - I just didn’t realize how busy. I’m talking day after Thanksgiving with people waiting for inexpensive big screen TV crazy!
I got there 15 minutes early and the line was already all the way to the back of the store weaving into the drinks area. I got in line about 12:05 AM and was back in my car right after 12:30 AM. I will give this Wal-Mart some credit – they did have it nice and organized.

The movie did touch on all the high points of the book, but I felt it was too rushed and the scenes didn’t seem to “mesh” well together. I hate how they didn’t really show much of the Cullens…. They played such a large role in the book. And don’t even get me started on looks… Rosalie’s hair looked normal in the first movie… why did it look so YELLOW in New Moon???? And to me, even though Robert Pattinson was Edward in both movies, I didn’t believe him to be Edward in New Moon if that makes any sense at all.
1st movie....
2nd movie....

So as of now, I am really disappointed in the movie… it did not meet my expectations.
I’ll get over my gripes! Maybe I am just tired. It is almost 4 in the morning after all. I will probably watch again tomorrow.

Tonight - At Midnight!

I bet you have been wondering where I have been.

Sorry to have not blogged in so long.
Did you think I fell off the face of the Earth?
He he he!
I have been reading... A LOT!
Barely even watched any TV this whole week! (Another reason for me to get rid of it! I seriously think I will. I just hate making these kind of decisions.... not that it is a big deal or anything. But knowing me, I will toy over the deal for about a year before doing anything.)
I had to prepare myself for the release of New Moon tonight at midnight. Of course, I do not plan on purchasing it until tomorrow morning. Unless I am unable to sleep tonight. Then I might sneak off in the middle of the night to Wal-Mart. It will probably be busy since they are having a New Moon 'party'.

I should watch Twilight tonight in preparation of the second movie in the series.
Like I previously said, I am OBSESSED!

I haven't lost any weight this week, but I have been doing good in regards to eating less and better. I am very proud of myself. I think I need more fiber to help lose the weight. I need to exercise more too. I would love it if I could actually start seeing some results which would help me stayed motivated. I look forward to losing weight. I cannot wait to start buying smaller clothes.
I have been good about not snacking when I get home from work. I have tried my HARDEST to not eat until 6 each evening. I think eating dinner later is helping me stay full - it is the key to my plan.
Normally, I would eat dinner real soon after getting home or I would snack up until dinner time.
This weekend will be a bit busy for me. I plan on going to do laundry, cleaning my bathrooms and floors, and dusting. That is the plan anyways. All my plans do not go as planned. I will try my best to actually get all this done this weekend. I would rather do it all in one day and get it over with instead of spreading it out.

The weather has been nice the past two days. I have taken Wyatt on short walks the last couple of days. I have enjoyed them.... I'm sure he has too. They have made him tired. I feel like he is in the house by himself too long when I am at work. Tomorrow if it does not rain I would like to take him to a park so he can breathe in new smells and make his territory on new spots.
Those are some of his favorite things to do.... after eating of course.
Plus, we can both use the exercise.

Well, I should probably start cleaning now. Who knows, maybe I will stay up late cleaning and then go get New Moon on Blu-ray. (It will be my second - Matt bought my Twilight on Blu-ray.) I was going to get it from him tonight, but plans change. Good thing it is still on Showtime. :)
I should look online for a coupon or rebate.
Hopefully there is one.
It is $20 at Wal-Mart.... I hate Wal-Mart, but they are selling it the cheapest and are open 24/7

Write Some More Please!

I have finished the Twilight series books.

I could not put them down – they were so good!

Now I need to find them at Goodwill or the used bookstore for a set of my own. I think these books will be worth rereading again. Who would have thought? I feel like a “teeny bopper” dying to read and/or see more. Next weekend I will get to watch “New Moon” which I am hoping will be GREAT! Now I wish I had went to see it in theater when my friend Maggie had asked me to go with her! :)
Ahhhh hindsight!
Maggie, if you are reading this… You should have tried harder to talk me into it! LOL!!!
In case you are wondering, “Eclipse” comes to theaters June 30 and you can watch the trailer at Youtube.

Yesterday I watched “The Time Traveler’s Wife” before Matt got here. The movie was not as good as I thought it would be, but I did like it. Rachel McAdams is one of my favorite actresses and I felt she played the role well. I think it was a little too unrealistic which is why I probably could not fully relate to it.

(I know - so is a story about vampires and werewolves….)

10 More Days...

Until the movie New Moon is out on DVD!
I don't know how it happened, or at least how it happened so fast, but I cannot wait to see this movie!
I'm hooked
I just finished Eclipse.
Another great book.
Of course, the ending upset me!!!
I knew that would happen - I could just tell.

I watched Twilight on Showtime again. It was better this time since I knew the background. I caught more then I had last time.

I'm Twilight Addicted

I would have had pictures from the weekend, but sometimes life does not work out the way you want it to.

I washed my camera!

I have no one to blame except myself. It was in the pocket of my my haste I didn't bother to check the pockets. I am a bit devastated though since I just got this camera for Christmas... haven't even had it 3 months.

When I discovered it was missing my camera I opened the washer (too late though - it was on the spin cycle at this point) and found it in my pocket.
It wasn't soaking wet like you would think. I wrapped it in a towel and but no water came off my camera. My brother suggested putting it in a bowl of rice so it could absorb all the moisture. (Apparently someone had done this with their cell phone and it worked.)
Sunday (when this happened) it would not turn on.
Sunday evening it turned on with no picture.
Monday evening it turned on with a blurry picture.
Last night, it would not turn on at all.
I guess it is really dead now.
I hate that I wasted money.
I wish it would turn on.
Makes me sad.

I did good yesterday with not eating a doughnut. Someone at work brought in yummy looking doughnuts and I didn't even eat one. They were even on the desk next to me and I was able to avoid the temptation. Go me! I mostly did good at the grocery store too.
I said "mostly"....
I did buy some ice cream.
I finally started working on my resume again. I need to fully add my current job so it is updated. There are always jobs I should be applying to and want to apply for - I just need to quit having an excuse as to why I don't apply. I don't want to look back on my career and realize I settled out of fear for the unknown. (You would not think this since I moved here in Louisville for a job). I want a good job where I make good money. I saw on CNN today that most people do not prepare well enough for retirement. Some people - 46% only have $10,000 (not counting their homes) to their name when they retire. I do not want to be one of them.
I would always be fearful.

I haven't worked anymore on it since I have a new addiction for the time being... have you read any of the Twilight series books? Well, one snow day I had watched the Twilight movie and thought it was alright but not as good everyone was claiming. Well, my mom's friend suggested I borrow her books and read the series. Needless to say, I did not think I would like them... I did want to see what all the hype was about.
I have fully read ALL of New Moon (in 2 days) and am now half way through Eclipse. I love these books! I have been reading on my lunch break and almost from the time I get home from work until bed time. Which is why I have not blogged in a few days or even fed my fish on Fish World.
I need to keep reading because at the moment I am upset with the book. I hope I am not ruining this for anyone - but Bella better NOT end up with Jacob. I think she might though after Jacob was talking about wolves' mates and how they are so attracted to them like magnets. When she asks him abotu his he says he will never find/have his mate. Is he referring to her???? I'm dying to know!
I want to see the New Moon movie now. I hope it comes out on DVD soon.
Have you read the books?

I should not post this since I know my mom will be reading this, but I feel I should say it in case anyone else ever has this happen to them. Or this has already happened to them.

---Side Note---
Yes, I am an idiot!
I realize this!
---End Side Note---

Monday night, around 8PM, I had just sat down in my chair with Wyatt, a bowl of popcorn, and my computer when someone knocked on the door.
I looked through the peephole to see who it was and it was a girl - probably about my age - smiling and waving. I opened the door because I thought she was one of my neighbors I didn't know. (I should have never opened the door - I usually don't.) She starts rambling on about how her name is April and she is going door to door to meet all the nice neighbors.
She goes on to ask if I have ever been to Rome.
Ummm.... No...
So then she asks if I have ever wanted to go to Rome.
Ummmmm.... No...
Then she says I am like most the people she has been to and her mom who are perfectly content with staying in the US. (Like it is a bad thing!)
Then she walks into my house and sits on my couch!!!
Who does she think she is?
I was so stunned!
I didn't know what to do!
I didn't know what to say!
In hindsight, I should have told her to get out. But, I was not thinking clearly at the time. I was smart enough to keep the door wide open and stay standing by it.
After sitting on my couch she finally gets to her point which is she was selling magazines that she wanted me to buy and fill out a comment card. I said I would do the card but I would not buy any magazines. (After she commented on how I have a lot of books.) She got upset that I didn't want to buy any magazines. I told her I only read books (I lied). She said if I wasn't interested in buying magazines then I wasn't interested her then she stormed out.
Well duuuhhhhhh!!!!
I apparently offended her!
Too bad I don't care. I have no problem with her selling magazines, but do not walk into my home.
As Stephanie Tanner from Full House would - "How Rude!"

I proceeded to watch her out my window walk to her truck which was parked across the street. She got in the driver seat and left.
I thought it was peculiar that she didn't knock on anyone else's door.
I went and knocked on my neighbors door to see if she had stopped there beforehand.
She hadn't.
I saw her truck again about 15 minutes later.
I decided to get in my car with Wyatt and follow her.
(Probably not smart.)
She kept circling around.
How odd!
Finally I pulled over and parked since I think she knew I was following.
I decided to get out of the car and call it a night. But once out of the car I stopped by the stairs to see if she would drive around again.
She didn't.
Curiosity got the best of me so I decided to see if I could find her.

She was parked at another building and was going in.
I wrote down her license plate number and know what her truck looks like.
I waited for about 10 minutes for her to come out, she never did.
I called it a night and drove home.

I am thinking she is harmless.... maybe a little messed up in the head.
I thought maybe she was scooping out my stuff to see what she could steal.
I hope she doesn't come back.
I will never open the door to another stranger!

P.S. I am sure it was nothing!

The News...

I called the doctor this morning and got the news from my blood work. I was scared to call -ended up being for good reason.

I have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.
If you are curious as to what it is, click HERE. I myself was very curious; meaning I could not wait till I got home to look up information online - I looked at work.

----What is polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)?

Polycystic (pah-lee-SIS-tik) ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a health problem that can affect a woman's menstrual cycle, ability to have children, hormones, heart, blood vessels, and appearance. With PCOS, women typically have:
•high levels of androgens. These are sometimes called male hormones, although females also make them.
•missed or irregular periods
•many small cysts in their ovaries. Cysts are fluid-filled sacs.

What are the symptoms of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)?

Not all women with PCOS share the same symptoms. These are some of the symptoms of PCOS:
•infrequent menstrual periods, no menstrual periods, and/or irregular bleeding
•infertility (not able to get pregnant) because of not ovulating
•increased hair growth on the face, chest, stomach, back, thumbs, or toes—a condition called hirsutism
•ovarian cysts
•acne, oily skin, or dandruff
•weight gain or obesity, usually carrying extra weight around the waist
•insulin resistance or type 2 diabetes
•high cholesterol
•high blood pressure
•male-pattern baldness or thinning hair
•patches of thickened and dark brown or black skin on the neck, arms, breasts, or thighs
•skin tags, or tiny excess flaps of skin in the armpits or neck area
•pelvic pain
•anxiety or depression due to appearance and/or infertility
•sleep apnea—excessive snoring and times when breathing stops while asleep

I suppose it is better to know then not know. At least now I know I need to try and control it. I am determined to try and maintain all of this.
I feel it is a bit scary, but it will be okay!

It is NOT the end of the world!

Life WILL go on!

This gives me more incentive to lose weight and eat better.

This will be a lifestyle change for me.

I REALLY have to do this!

I don't want to get diabetes. I see what G goes through. Does not look fun.
As of now, I eat A LOT of sugar... my goal is to start off small and cut my intake in half. I feel this is a manageable goal. I would like to say I will quit eating it completely, but let's be realistic, that will never happen.

I have already taken out all the food I do not need to be eating and have it packed to give to my brother. Sunday, I plan on going grocery shopping for healthy food.

I will make a grocery list before then.

I can do this!

It is all about your mindset!

I'm like Wyatt now.... we both have to get more exercise and eat better.

Dogs really do reflect their owners!

Ha ha ha!

(Now we both have chronic illnesses.)

In other news, I gave my mom her birthday presents:
She liked them!
We are going to exchange the tv tray though. When she took the tag off, half the "wood sticker" came off too. We will go to Target tomorrow to buy an actual computer lap holder thingy.

The eggs and Easter grass are the supplies needed to make the EASTER EGG wreath I made last year.
Even though I posted how I made it, if I am with my mom when she makes hers I will maybe take pictures and write about it again. Key word...MAYBE.

Some Of This, And Some Of That

It's official!

My dog no longer enjoys sleeping in!

I am saddened to say this; I miss the days when I could get up and dressed before picking him up out of bed to take him outside. Now, the moment my alarm goes off he is wide awake. He knows I hate him sitting on my pillow which is where he goes and then starts to lick my face.
No wonder I have so many pimples!

Speaking about pimples, Matt gave me his sister’s leftover Proactive (I’m sure you have seen the commercial)… I have used it for 2 days and so far no change. I know it is not a miracle worker, I was just wishing! I would have been using for 3 days now, but the day I wanted to start using it I could not find my bag of cotton balls. I knew I had some! I looked everywhere without any luck at spotting them. So while at the store I bought a new bag. Guess what I find today when moving a box? Yep! That cotton balls!

My doctor’s office called this afternoon… I missed the call somehow… they said to call back tomorrow for the results from my blood work. She sounded upbeat on the phone so I would think she has good news. On the other hand, I am sure they are trained to sound upbeat no matter what. I will keep you posted.

Needless to say, I am a little anxious now.
I relaxed with some popcorn (I do this every night now).
But here it is 9:30 PM and I still haven’t got all my things together.
I need to get in the shower.
I have to wake at 4:20 AM. BLAH!!!!!

Happy Birthday, Mom!

I know your birthday was yesterday, but I was too tired to post.

Please forgive me!

To help sway you, here is a sneak peak of your gifts!

Do you want a hint????

I am going to opt not to give you one since you NEVER give me any hints.
(Wyatt, of course, had to be in the picture!)
Yes, I do realize I used a Christmas gift bag. In my defense, it was the only bag big enough (that I already had) that would hold everything in there. Hehehehehe!
Curious now?
I used the Mother's Day wrapping paper since I do not have any birthday paper. I was going to buy some, but then I realized I already have 2 tupperware containers FILLED.... I need to use some of what I have before I buy more.

Happy March!

Isn’t March suppose to signify the end of Winter and the beginning of Spring?

I sure hope it does.

It was sunny with a high of 43 degrees today.
Too bad I was stuck inside an office all day!

I finally did my much needed grocery shopping trip today.
Any guesses on how much I spent for all this…
No guess?

Come on, just pick an amount.

I know you can do it.

Alright I will tell you. I spent less then $14 on all of that.
As much as I wish I can say I did this by using coupons…
Wait a minute!
I can!

Remember last week when I said I went to Meijers and had a coupon to receive a coupon for $20 off my next purchase just for filling a prescription there? Plus, I got a $10 coupon today for doing the same thing! Not only did I get $30 off my total purchase, I also had a coupon for $1 off any meat purchase of $6 (Meijers) and $5 off any purchase over $55 (Meijers).
I used the $5 off coupon first.
This was all regularly going to cost me almost $58.
(I only had a few regular coupons this time.)
Even though it looks like I bought all junk, I did buy meat and some fruit and vegetables. I felt I did good on this trip. Meijers costs a little more and now I truly know this. Unless I have store coupons, I will not be shopping there for all my grocery needs. I will just stop there for the good sales.

Once in the car I completely looked over my receipt to make sure there were no errors before I drove off...

Here’s where my story gets a little funny.
As usual, I took Wyatt with me. He enjoys car rides and does well sitting in his car seat. I should probably say he usually does well. Not always.

Normally when I leave the house with him I place him in his car seat - in the backseat, behind the passenger seat. I then go around to the driver’s door get in the driver seat. I put on my seatbelt and make sure he is okay. He is always okay… always so eager to go somewhere, anywhere. He loves looking out the window – especially when the window is down.
He did this on the way to the store. Such a good boy.
Once I was in my car from shopping, he whined for me to pet him and then climb out of his seat. When I was finished looking at my receipt I placed him back in his car seat and buckled myself in and turned the car on. I made it through the parking lot, waited at a red light, turned to get on the main road, drove a few miles – all in about 5 minutes – and then I hear a ‘BBBBUUUUUUUMMMMPPPPPPPPPPP’!

What do I see when I turn around?

Out of his car seat with his front two paws on the front console between the seats looking at me! He looked so excited. I assume he was proud of himself. Not that this was his first time getting out of his car seat.

Not my dog, you say?
If you have ever been around Wyatt you know he is no ‘delicate’ animal. Nothing about him says ‘soft’ or ‘quiet’. He is more awkward and cowardly.
For example, when you pick him up… he doesn’t try to help himself up like most dogs. No, not my dog… he is more like dead weight. When he eats and a piece of dog food falls out of his mouth back into his dog bowl – he jumps a few inches. If he, himself farts, he runs like I just tried to spank him.
So you can imagine how loud he was right?
So what is a girl to do about this while driving 50 MPH?

I let him just stay there.
Of course I had to keep put my arm to block him when I stopped.
Eventually it was just easier to give in and allow him to sit in my lap for the remainder of the ride home.
