This is what I purchased:
(Did they in 2 different transaction since you can only use 3 of the same coupons in one transaction per card, per day.)

We went here after Kroger so didn't need as many items!
I feel this was a good experience!
I will continue to shop during the triple coupons events each month!
It is so much fun!

Skittles and H2O

We went to 2 different Targets yesterday.
Always fun to see if they have any good items on clearance, and if they do, how cheap can you get them!

Well, at the first Target, I scored a cupcake holder for $2.48 - I wished they had another. I now plan to bring cupcakes to my next work cookout. I had wanted one of these for so long and now I am lucky enough to have found one for 75% off.
YAY!
When we were checking out, the cashier kept looking at it and saying she wanted one. I told her it was the last one and I think she wanted mine because it took her forever to finally ring it up.
I bought 2 Propel 6-packs of water. Look below to see how much I paid. I also bought 8 bags of Skittles and I know what you are thinking. "Why does someone who is trying to lose weight buy 8 big bags of Skittles?" I'll tell you. It is because I will portion them out and will be glad to have them when I have a craving. Plus, I know how to hide things from myself. (I have had chocolate covered sunflower seeds in the cabinet since Christmas - I don't tend to crave them since they are there and out of site. Not sure why.) Anyways, look below for the price of the skittles as well.

Whooooo Hooooo!!!

Cheap right?

I wish they had more water.....I would have bought it all!

Here is what I got at the next Target -

Swiffer Dusters - $3.48 and used $1 off coupon
4 packs of 2 packs of Rayovac batteries that I need for a mail in rebate.

(Thank you Annystribe for telling me where I can find these in Target!)

FREE Lip Item - But It Ends Today - So Hurry!

Bath and Body sent out a coupon into subscriber's email this past week. You can click HERE to go to the coupon. If you want to use it, make sure you do it today since it is the last day.
While at the mall yesterday, Matt and I both used one of these coupons. The coupon states you can get any FREE lip item with ANY purchase. So We both bought $1.50 pocket hand sanitizer.

We got these four items for $3.00 plus tax!

I Got Mine In The Mail

Have you got yours yet? Both Matt and I have both gotten out FREE reusable shopping bag from Earthbound Farms. It also came with some information about the company and 2 valuable coupons.
(It is nice having a boyfriend who doesn't live with me; this allows me to get 2 of everything!)

His Foot Is In The Crack

I just had to take this picture and show it off!
I have been sitting on the couch while looking at blogs with Wyatt next to me. I had to get up to go to the bathroom and when I came back I noticed how he was laying with his foot between the seat cushions.
He is precious!
:)
(According to my brother, he has a face only a mother could love. I don't find this to be true, but if it is, I don't care!)
:)

Bee Wax Never Felt So Good On My Lips

I am happy to report I was one of the 1,000 people who were able to register with Burt's Bees for a coupon for a FREE Lip Balm!

The website said: "Your coupon for a free Burt's Bees lip balm will be on the way shortly. Remember, only one per household will be mailed. Be sure to look for it in your mailbox in 1-4 weeks."

I am so excited!

I love this stuff but feel it is too expensive to buy!

I had gotten 2 on clearance from Target at one point.

The lip balm feels nice on my lips!

:)

Would you like to know the details on how you too can get a FREE Burt's Bee lip balm?
I'll tell you!

"The giveaway starts anytime between 9 a.m. and 12 noon EDT but no one knows exactly when! To equal the odds and give you the fairest chance at a free balm, we've randomized the giveaway to start anytime between 9 a.m. and 12 noon EDT. It could be anytime. For instance -- it may be 9:15 AM one day, 10:25 AM the next, or 11:51 AM the day after! We don't know either - and that's what makes it fun! And if you don't get it one day, you'll get your chance. The balm giveaway goes through June 20, 2009."

How To Spend $12

Sorry it has taken me so long to post this message....

With my last 2 remaining register reward dollars I decided to do 2 separate transactions with each of my $6 RR.
Transaction #1
2 Reach toothbrushes 2 for $5 used B1G1 free coupon and earned $3 RR
2 Sara Breads $1.99 each used 2 $0.55 coupon
1 Hershey's candy bar $0.89 (filler item)

Used $6 RR
Spent $1.14 Out of Pocket

Transaction #2
2 Sugar free Popsicles $2 each
2 Reach toothbrushes 2 for $5 used B1G1 free coupon and earned $3 RR

Used $6 RR
Spent $1.30 Out of Pocket

I guess this was not a bad way to use my RR money since they were expiring anyways. I think Walgreen's has less good deals with Register Rewards then they used to.
:(
I am happy with what I was able to purchase. I wish they sold more food items so I could purchase more of those when I had to use RRs. You see I bought 4 toothbrushes even though I have plenty. I bought those since I made $0.50 on each set before tax. Plus, at least now I will start next week with $6 RR instead of none.
What do you buy when your RRs are about to expire?

P.S. The sugar free with Splenda Popsicles I bought are not really good. They are not nearly as flavorful as the non sugar free ones. I do not recommend buying them. The actual Popsicles brand sugar free Popsicle ones are really good though.

Triple Coupon Opportunity

Harris Teeter is having triple coupons up to $0.99 again!
Whoo Hoo!!!
It started on Wednesday and will go through Tuesday June 2.
I am excited!
I plan on going to the city to take advantage of this deal over the weekend.

Also, if you have a Kroger near your Harris Teeter, call and see if they are offering triple coupons as well. The local Kroger by the Harris Teeter I plan to go to is offering this wonderful deal.

Both stores allow you to use 20 coupons per transaction
.
You can only do one transaction per day. (I get around this by having my own card and Matt having his own)

I think both stores will accept Internet coupons (they do in my area but check yours).

I hope you get some good buys if you decide to take advantage of this deal.

I will post what I buy after I go shopping.

Need A Drink?

It is hot outside and it would be nice to have a "cool" drink. Right now Wendy's is offering a coupon for B1G1 FREE Frosty.

You can print this coupon twice. Click HERE for this coupon.

June 3 Sonic is offering FREE Root beer floats from 8PM till Midnight!

If you like these items as much as I do, I suggest you take advantage of them!

Dance Fever in Zumba

I have now done 2 Zumba classes with 2 different instructors.

I like that class!

It gets me all sweaty and gets my heart rate up!

The two things I want when I am working out at the gym!
Plus, it is not very hard to do and time goes by so quickly!

Use Before Expiration

Walgreen's has not been having as good of deals as they once used to!
Starting on Saturday, I had a $6 RR that was about to expire. They had nothing I wanted so I ended up buying 4 packages of 375 count q-tips for $2 each with 4 $0.30 off coupons. I also bought a pack of sponges for $1.09
I had another $6 RR expiring yesterday so I bought all this:
7 generic 4 packs of toilet paper on clearance for $0.70 each (I got the last 7 they had)
1 $1.09 pack of sponges
It cost me $0.95 OOP (Out of pocket)
I figured I could always use toilet paper. :)
I have 2 more $6 RR expiring tomorrow!
I hate that I am not getting more Register Rewards when I spend mine!
I do not know what I will buy with my remaining ones. I think I will get food or cleaning items since I do not want my money to go to waste.
I wonder what other people buy when they have to use there coupons ASAP?

Enjoyable, Wind In Your Hair Car Ride

I took Wyatt on a car trip today...which he absolutely LOVES!
He especially loves sticking his head out the window!
Before you view these pictures, know this:
1. I know it is not good for a dog to have his head out the window since he can get dust in his eyes. However, my dog loves doing this! So I am going to continue to let him since it makes him happy and he enjoys it.
2. I know he should not be in the front seat on my lap. I have tried to put him in the backseat - yet he just manages to come to the front seat somehow. I am looking into getting him a car seat.
We never go on long trips.
So he is okay and will continue to be okay.
:)
With that being said, these are the pictures I took of him this morning!
I took them by taking pictures of the rear view mirror.
Feel free to "Ohhhh" and "Ahhhh" as you look at my cute little boy!

My Poor Parents...

So as you know if you read my blog post from yesterday, today was Old Navy's one day sale where you could get solid colored flip flops for $1 each. You also know I was going to be out of town and my parents were going to the store to get me some.

Well, my mom said when she got there it was completely crowded in the store. The flip flops were all in the middle of the store on racks on "arms". Mom said they had no method for selling these - no organization. But, she was able to deal with it. So she is in line to get to the flip flops when someone says, "Why is everyone in a line? Just go to the flip flops." And she did - and so did other people. This upset my mom and they left without any. She called me very apologetic about it, but like I told her, I would not have even gone in the store had I been there and it was that packed.

So they go to another Old Navy later in the day. Almost all the flip flops were sold out! They were able to find 3 pairs - black, brown, and orange.
I am very happy with these three colors!
Of course I would have loved more, however, what they went through in the first store to get them was not worth it at all!
Not one bit!
When they were checking out at this Old Navy, the cashier told them they opened at 8AM and when he got to work their was ALREADY a line!

For flip flops!

GOODNESS!

I do not need them that bad!

LOL!

Thank you both for getting me some flip flops!

I appreciate them!

P.S. Did you notice Wyatt was in the picture? I took four pictures - and he was in all of them!
:)

Mexican Artwork

Beautiful, right?
Thank you Kathy for picking this up for me while you were in Mexico!
I have already found it a home in my home.
:)
It is a painted scene on a piece of "clay pot" (not sure what you would call it).

Thank you MARS company for this wonderful offer!

(Mom, I already did this for you this week and last week!)

Whoo Hooo It's Friday!

This has been such a long work week for me! I am so glad it is finally over! I feel this has been a stressful week for me at my main job. I am off from both jobs this weekend so I will have plenty of time to do what I want to do.

Today I plan on going to the Zumba. I also want to go to my second job to purchase a few items and go to Best Buy for a movie. After those places, I do not want to go anywhere else. I just want to come home and relax.
~~UPDATE~~
I loved Zumba class! So much in fact, I plan on going again on Sunday!

Saturday I will drive an hour away to see Kathy and help her with her yard sale. (I hope it is not too hot or I will want lots of breaks!)

DON'T FORGET, all day Saturday at Old Navy you can get solid colored flip flops for $1 each. They usually cost $3 each or 2 for $5. My mom is nice and going to get me some since I will be out of town! :)

The 5 colors I want are:

1. Black

2. Gray

3. Dark Brown

4. Light Brown/Tan

5. Navy Blue

If they do not having any of those colors, my back-up color are:

6. Red

7. Dark Purple

8. Dark Green

*Limit per purchase is 5.

Once again mom, thank you! I will write down a list for you to take to the store with you.

Sunday, I will go to the Y and take Wyatt to the park for a walk. I want to fully relax the rest of the day by watching TV, reading a book in the bath, and cleaning. I know, cleaning is not relaxing, but I like to clean and know it is all done. Maybe I will do it tonight to have it all done.
(I will not be buying a newspaper since their will not be any coupons this week due to the holiday.)

Monday, I am fortunate to be off due to Memorial Day!
Matt and I will probably go to the city to do some shopping and enjoy the day. Maybe we will go to the zoo. We will see.

I love the weekends, don't you?

Mmmm....SOUP!

I have had yummy meals the past three nights from one main meat staple.

This week I had to work my second job three times so I needed to make some meals quick for dinner on those nights.

Tuesday night after my Weight Watchers meeting I decided to stop at Sam’s Club and buy a whole cooked chicken. It was $5. I knew it would help me make some quick and easy meals.

For dinner that night I had chicken, rice and mixed veggies.

Last night I had to work and I decided to make quesadillas. I used a flour tortilla, chicken (from my whole cooked chicken), and cheese. I cooked it in the microwave, but should have cooked it on the stove to make it crispy instead or soggy.

Tonight's dinner was Greek Lemon Chicken Soup. I started it before I left for work at my second job.

The ingredients I used for my yummy soup:

46 ounces of chicken broth

1 small can of Campbell’s cream of chicken soup

About 2 cups of chicken from the whole chicken

Lemon juice to taste (I wanted fresh but settled with bottled)

2 cups of rice

Directions:

In a crock pot, on low heat, mix together the chicken broth and cream of chicken.

Add in the chicken and lemon juice.

Let sit for as long as you want. (I left mine for about 5 hours while I went to work.)

Cook the rice according to the directions in a separate container.

About 20 minutes or so before you serve, add rice into your soup. (You can add it sooner, but if you do, it might become too thick and not be as “soupy”.

So there you have it, 3 meals from one $5 chicken!

I Love Babies

These are the baby gifts I got for the two people who are having baby's at work.

The boy gifts are for the girl who is moving this weekend to South Carolina. Her baby shower was last Friday, but of course, I had to work my second job. I didn't know what to give her since she is in the process of moving so I gave her a size 3 month baby one-piece body suit and a 12 month outfit.

**I always buy baby outfits when I see them for a good price on clearance where I work my second job. I tend to have a bunch of baby showers to go to these days so this helps me save money and always have a gift on hand. (A, don't tell anyone my secret.!) This is where I got my baby boy clothes.
:)

The girl gifts are for the baby shower we had today at work.
I gave her a thing of diapers, a size 3 month baby one-piece body suit , and a hoody baby towel.
I think my gifts were all cute, but you never know what someone will like. I especially didn't know since I only know these people from work. I have never hung out with either one of them outside of work.
I wish I knew had to crochet and could make baby blankets as gifts. Three people I worj with did just that! They were all beautiful!
One of these days my mom needs to teach me!
I want to make blankets for myself too!

My Goals For The Week

Today is another Tuesday...

Means I have my Weight Watchers meeting in an hour. Partly because I was so sore till yesterday and partly because I have not been tracking my food and I have probably been eating a lot, I do not think I have lost any weight.

This is depressing... however, I have no one to blame but myself.

So, these are my goals for this week starting tomorrow:

1. Track my food AT LEAST 5 days days this week.

2. Go to the gym AT LEAST 2 times this week. (Should be easy since I always go on Sunday's with my friend and I plan on going to the ZUMBA class on Friday.)

3. Cook meals as home AT LEAST 3 times this week. (Wednesday and Thursday I have my second job so I am not able to cook on those days.)

These are all easy and obtainable goals.

I just need to reach them!

If I do this, I will buy myself a new pair of shorts.

Factory Tours

If you enjoy factory tours as much as I do, visit this website!

I spotted several states I want to visit to go on some good tours - PA for example.
I would love to see which tasty chocolate kisses and made and where colorful crayons are created.

Kroger Deals and Steals

In my town, we do not have many options on where to grocery shop.
Our choices are:
Kroger
Wal-Mart
Target (Hardly any groceries)
K-Mart (Hardly any groceries)
Food Lion (All the way across town)
Wal-Greens (Hardly any groceries)
Rite Aid (Hardly any groceries)
That's It!!!
Not a good selection at all!
Now do you see why sometimes I feel it is worth driving about an hour into the big city when their are some spectacular grocery sales?
This means I tend to choose Kroger since I hate Wal-Mart for the most part.
So while looking at Kroger's ad online this morning, I decided to post about the best deals I saw. Remember, registered seniors get 15% off every Wednesday. Grandma, if you are not registered, you should!
This is their week long 10 for $10 week!!
Their are some awesome deals!
Check out Kroger.com and click on weekly ad to see the entire ad of all their on sale items.
Here are some of the items I plan on buying:
Fresh Strawberries, Blueberries, and Raspberries are 3 for $5 or $1.67 each
Kroger Shredded Cheese 2 for $3 or $1.50 each
Kroger Frozen Veggies 10 for $10 or $1 each
Minute Maid Drinks $1 each

Puppy Bouquet

I got this email form A. and thought it was extremely adorable!
I knew I just had to post it!

I wish I was this creative!
it is amazing what some people can do.
I would love to have one of these puppy bouquets....of course, I would want them to be fake flowers so i can keep them forever and ever!
:)

Kicked My Butt

I am so very proud of myself today!

Last week at Weight Watchers, C. and I were talking about how we both go to the same gym. She goes to a bunch of classes and said I should try one. So Tuesday at the meeting we decided to go today to 2 different 30 minute classes which were back to back.

So I get there 15 minutes early to get myself all together. Well, I arrived before C. and became nervous since I was not exactly sure which room the SCULPT class was in. I found where I thought it was and asked the two people in line if this was where the class was. One lady said yes and that she was the instructor. Awesome!

I asked her how the class is and she responds be telling me we use weights and would do lunges and what not. Sounded good to me. She even suggested I get the 4-pound weights and 6-pounds weight since I was a beginner. This was good advice which I took it!
So we used 2 different sets of weights, a medicine ball, an exercise ball, a step thingy (?), and a mat.
The exercises were kinda hard in the end since I was getting tired in the end. I liked it though! We then stayed for the AB class with the same instructor.

That class was SOOOOOO hard!
I don't think I would ever go to it again if I didn't have anyone to go with.

I could feel it in my abs!

We used the same tools for this class.

After the class, my legs felt like jelly!

I was extremely worked out!

I had never felt like that!

So glad I went!

C. does not read my blog, or even know about it, but THANK YOU FOR GETTING ME TO COME!!!!

Next week we are going to go to the ZUMBA class on Friday - 55 minutes! (I work next Thursday.) I will have to switch which class I do each week.
ZUMBA reminds me of the game ZUMA....but ZUMBA, from what I understand, is a bunch of moving around in dance moves.

***UPDATE***

Here it is now Sunday and I am still kinda sore!

I am glad I went, but hate feeling this way!

Mmmm....Smell Good....

Thanks to my part-time employer, I have a dozen roses. The store gave them away for Mother's Day and they had a ton left.

Help On Healthcare

I need to make a decision by tomorrow (Friday at the latest) as to whether or not I want to keep my health insurance.

I am leaning towards cancelling it.

I have the second to the lowest health care option!

I hate that it will cost me an extra $40 per paycheck (I get paid twice a month).

That is an extra $80 a month out of my paycheck!

I have better ways to spend my money...especially considering I only used my health insurance three times last year.

Once for the girly doctor.
Once for when I cut my eye.
Once for needing sinus infection medicine.
I still had to pay a $20 co-pay each time.
Plus, when I went to the girly doctor I was billed even more money.

I still have leftover medicine for my eye and sinus infection.
I want to cancel my insurance since I know I can go to the health department and what I will pay is based on what I make.

The only con I can think of for not having insurance is what if the unexpected happens? Hopefully I will not get into a car wreck or develop cancer anytime soon. (Knock on wood!)

I already don't have dental or eye care coverage since I feel it is too expensive and I feel it is cheaper to pay out of pocket. (However, I have not been to the dentist for a cleaning in over a year....NOT GOOD!)

I do plan on looking for a new job once my resume is finished so I am hoping I will be offered more affordable health care, dental, and eye coverage at my next job.

It is ridiculous that health care prices are going up so high! If Obama is so great he needs to do something about this....FAST!!!And no, the answer is not to have a country wide health care plan. (That is the dumbest idea!) Who may I ask will fund that? The country is already in enough debt! I'll tell you who, US, the tax payers!!!

I need to stop blogging now and get ready for my second job since all I seem to be doing is complaining about everything today. Let me know if you have any opinions on whether or not I should cancel my health care coverage.
I think I will cancel it, but I am afraid.....
Hmmm...
***UPDATE***
In the end, I cancelled my Healthcare Insurance.
I have decided to place the money I would have spent on insurance before the price increase into a savings account.
